A wedding is a special day of each individual that is full of happiness. However, in recent times, wedding ceremonies have become more extravagant and lavish. In this essay, I will explain the causes of this and why it is negative.

On the one hand, there are some reasons why people are spending so much money for special parties like weddings. The main reason of it is that they are willing to show their richness and always want to make the guests surprised by enormous restaurants, tables that are full of different types of food and also various organizational shows happening during the wedding. Therefore, social sites are also one of the reasons of getting ceremonies magnificent. What I mean by that is some people imitate of their instagram favorites. For example, Abilova’s wedding who is the popular bloger of Kazakhstan is said the best wedding at all in 2024, leading many young generations to aspire to have a similar event. Unfortunately, in today’s society there is a competition around people revealing their daily unrealistically lavish lifestyle on social media.

On the other hand, I do not support these grandiose weddings because firstly, it is a waste of money, and secondly, families who are struggling financially can not afford such expensive weddings, and then they also get into debt the reason why they want to have a big wedding. I think the money could be utilized in many better ways, such as investing in a home for the bride and groom.

To conclude, the rising trend of expensive weddings is fueled by the desire to flaunt wealth, and it is crucial for the government to stop it.
