When facing bad situations, while some believe that the best approach is to accept them, other people attempt to solve the problems. In my opinion, I agree with the idea to make a difference.
On one hand, the process of dealing with negative situations often helps individuals learn and improve their mindset and skillset. Take my personal experience as an example, in my first year working as a designer, I had not learned the ability to create elegant websites. Therefore, I had suffered from significant pressure from my direct manager. However, instead of simply quitting the job, I decided to look into what I lacked of, and made enhancements by taking online courses. This incident has helped me cultivated design skills, a growth-mindset, and problem-solving skills to utilize in the future.
On the other hand, some people place importance on accepting difficulties and realizing the unchangeable things. I can relate to this perspective as well because some external factors are impossible to change easily by an individual, no matter how hard one tries. In fact, the critical ability is to differentiate and accept what elements in a situation are capable of being changed and what are not. Thus, instead of struggling on problems that are impossible to solve, people can focus on putting effort into the changeable things.
In conclusion, while seeking ways to solve difficult situations allows people to gain valuable learnings and opportunities, it is also essential to accept the factors that are unlikely to change.
