One side of humankind believes that global heating is the highest priority issue we have in hand. Whereas, the other side states that desertification of forest holds that position. In the following paragraphs I will discuss both of these perspectives and present my opinion.
The inclination in temperature as days progress needs a lot of attention because it plays a key role in depletion of nature. For instance, as per 5 year of analysis (2013-2018) by THE NEWYORKER, out of 100%, over 65% of carbon emission is due to fuel supported vehicles. This results in toxic smoke contaminating fresh air at an alarming rate. Inhaling this will not only cause breathing problems such as, asthama but also is the reason for several long term lung diseases like, bronchitis. Hence, to prevent the further damage electric battery powered cars are now being introduced in the market.
While efforts are being implemented to soften the blow, large scale manufacturing industries are the indirect root cause of this climate issue. These set-ups require humungous amount of land, which isn’t readily available. Thus, companies are deserting and clearing lush green forests. Vanishing of these jungles mean disastrous aftermath such as, no carbon to oxygen conversion, greater chances of floods and natural calamities. Preserving and protecting such habitats is utmost essential, for putting a full stop. Jungles are necessary to terminate environmental issues like, pollution, flooding, earthguakes and global warming.
Afforestation is a step that should be taken towards deforestation.
In conclusion, I think clearing woodland and plantation is in fact more destructive towards earth. Although, actions are being taken to regulate the heat, heavily uprooting plants is responsible for greater damage.
