In this contemporary society, there is no room for doubt that the environment plays a crucial role in shaping most aspects of life. There is a controversial topic surrounding what is the largest cause affecting recent environment-related issues, global warming or deforestation. Some opinions have been expressed that global warming is responsible for devasting the human natural world while others claim that deforestation is blamed for people’s habitat. From my standard, both cases have the same negative influence on the planet.
On the first side, global warming is considered the main cause of ecosystems’s negative consequences. The first thing is that it influences the temperature rise, glaciers to melt partly. Apparently, global warming is known as a great contributor to weather changes, such as the greenhouse effect, which puts some areas in flood or drought conditions. For illustration, farmers cannot earn money from cultivating because the weather turns every agricultural into a poor harvest. Not only because the climate change but also coming of the higher sea levels. According to a variety of research, there is a type of ice called permafrost, which is very huge, so as a result of its thawing, the amount of land and animals’ territory will be reduced significantly.
On the contrary, deforestation has an important role in affecting the environment adversely. Besides global warming, the drawback of deforestation also takes part in damaging our planet. This circumstance leads to the loss of diversity and extinction of some animal species due to loss of habitat. For more detail, some animals living in the forest will lose their home when humans want to exploit or cut down the trees to advance modernization. Moreover, deforestation also promotes soil erosion. When the rain comes down and takes away top-rich soil, the quality of the ground will decline.
Put in a nutshell, this outstanding phenomenon mentioned above has outlined the downside of global warming and deforestation on the environment. From my perspective, we must find a solution to prevent and minimize the consequences.
