Nowadays, with the development of industrialization and modernization, human’s living standards have been improved as well as human’s right are being paid closely attention. Indeed, as the result of such advances, there still remains a controversial topic about whether global warming or deforestation has negative effects on recent environment-related issues. Some people think that it is global warming that is responsible for devasting human natural world, while other argue that deforestation is blamed for people’s habitat
On the one hand, global warming is the main reason for the ecosystem’s negative result. First of all, it be responsible for glaciers to melting partly led to climate change. When melting ice, the release of methane and CO2 into atmosphere increase the greenhouse effect, causing global warming. Moreover, glaciers to melting reduces the amount of freshwater reserve on Earth. The freshwater from melting ice can change the salinity of seawater, affecting marine life. For example, many marine organisms have adapted to special salinity levels in their environment. Marine may face difficulty in adjusting their osmoregulation, leading to reduced reproductive capability and death. As a result, melting is a serious environmental with many potential harm.
On the other hand, deforestation also has many harmful effects on the environment. To begin with, it cause the flood and landslides. Obviously, forests work to keep rich soil and anti- erosion but deforestation loses the surface layer, making the soil easily eroded, leading to floods and landslides. Moreover, deforestation also reduces biodiversity. Clearly, forests is the habitat of numerous animal. Deforestation bring about the habitat have been destroyed, causing ecological imbalance and the extinction of many species. For example, Forests fire in Australia in 2019, it burned many animals and plant that have brought great losses to the Australia government. Consequently, deforestation brings terrible effect to our environment.
In conclusion, although there are many reasons why the environmnet is seriously damaged recently, both causes mentioned above have greatly contributed to harming the surrounding habitat.
