A scholarship is always a great opportunity, anyway talking a decision could become complicated and harsh when you have to decide between a good university in your country and a top university in another country. When it comes to my opinion, I believe I would choose to study abroad in an excellent university.
One of the main aspects that I would consider is that people have to apply for university immediately after high school, when young adults are generally thoughtless, powerful and optimistic. Although living in another country far from home could seem to be challenging, I think that as a 18-years-old girl I could cope with it. For instance, I have always hoped to have an experience abroad, but when I had the chance to apply for the so-called “erasmus program” (a six-months-internship in another European country), my father opposed it, assuming that in his mind it was a complete waste of time and he didn’t sponsor that experience.
Another primary reason that I would ponder is that I would surely have some regrets in the future because this sort of possibility happens once in a lifetime. Indeed, considering that I am really remuguinative, if I rejected a full scholarship to a top university in another country as England or France, I could never forgive myself.
Lastly, I believe that with an experience abroad students not only have the possibility of having as professors the best in that field, but they also have the chance of learning another language, that is a crucial added skill in our the current globalized world.
The aforementioned assumptions are some of the reasons why I would accept a full scholarship to a top university in another country.
