In the contemporary era, groups of residents hold the belief that children must pay all their attention to academic learning before graduating from high school. Personally, I totally agree that students must follow the whole academic program
On the one hand, there is no doubt that gaining experience at an early age can intrinsically play an essential role in the future career. Supposedly, when being challenged by society, the younger generations can enhance some vital skills such as communication and problem-solving, which seem to be underrated in academic learning . Take translators as an example, experience from working before university can directly develop their interaction and reaction skills which are uncommonly taught at school.
In contrast, when they give priority to work, it is apparent that young people will lose concentration on study programs. By paying too much attention to social activities, the youth will be overwhelmed with the large amount of academic learning they have to keep track of which can lead to insufficient background information. For example, regarding doctors, some diseases have to be meticulously cured based on theoretical knowledge they have learned at school rather than their own experience
In conclusion, despite the fact that it is essential to involve students in their education till they attain 18 years of age, both parents and educationalists can incentivize the younger generations to participate in some extracurricular activities in order to enhance indispensable skills.
