Overall, it is readily apparent that children books were the most preferable choise among other categories, despite the fact that half of the members were adults. Total number of loans remained somewhat comparable throughout the period, although figure in 2007 significantly trailed behind.
The age of library members in 2016 was quite diverse. Adults aged 18 – 64 accounted for the highest percentage of participants, with 51% of total membership and thus forming the dominant age group. Teenagers and elderly people recorded similar results with 15% and 12% of participation rate respectively, whereas children made up 22%. Regarding to categories, both adults and children fiction books represented exactly same percentage of loans (38%). Notably, the next most popular categories were non-fiction books with 13% for adults and 6% for children, meaning that non-fiction books are the most optimal choise for older participants . Remaining categories registered similar figures ranging from 1% to 2%.
Looking to the bar chart, number of loans experienced steady growth over the period. In 2007, there were approximately 15,000 loans and this figure rose gradually until 2012, when the number of loans slightly dropped to 20,000. After that, it showed progressive growth reaching 22,000 in the end of the period.
