During my school days, I was deeply interested in biology, specifically the field of genetics. I was always fascinated with the functioning of organisms, and more intrigued with the fact that we all have something coded in our genetic materials, which makes us what we are today. I was also intrigued by the concept of evolution and how both fields are linked. However, while choosing a major for college, I went in a different way. I chose to specialize in history. I just recently came across a news about the revival of the species of dire wolf, and that made me interested in genetics again. I was really intrigued with the achievement of humanity. We successfully brought back a species that went extinct. I couldn’t help but wonder what will this future look like if we actually succeeded in bringing back other animals such as woolly mammoths or even dinosaurs. I am now quite more interested in learning what’s happening in that field as I would like to be updated regularly so that I wouldn’t be caught off guard. Thank you.
