So the skill I want to mention is driving a car, which my father taught me when I was around 18 years old. I learned by practicing, and in the first few days, he taught me with calmness. It was a great experience, and it made me self-independent. Driving is also a basic need in today's world. I really love how calm he was while teaching me the skill, and I'm thankful to him.

Pronunciation

Your pronunciation is quite good. Working on consistency and tackling difficult sounds may enhance clarity.

Task Response

The answer stays on topic and addresses the main requirements: it identifies a person (father) and a skill (driving), and includes some personal experience. However, it is relatively brief and lacks depth. To improve, you could elaborate on the specific steps or techniques your father used, describe a particular moment or challenge during the learning process, and explain more about how this skill has impacted your life beyond general statements. Adding more specific details and extending the response would make it more fully developed and engaging. The response could be expanded as it currently feels quite brief.

Fluency & Coherence

The response is somewhat fluent but lacks smooth flow due to awkward phrasing and repetition (e.g., 'with calm and with...'). Coherence is basic: ideas are presented in a logical order but without clear progression or detailed development. To improve, practice using a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'firstly', 'moreover', 'as a result') and aim for a more natural, uninterrupted delivery. Expand on each point with specific examples or details to enhance coherence.

Lexical Resource

Vocabulary is limited and repetitive (e.g., 'taught', 'calm', 'skill' used multiple times). There is some attempt at topic-specific language ('self-independent', 'basic need'), but precision is lacking (e.g., 'driving car' instead of 'driving a car'). To reach a higher band, broaden your vocabulary with synonyms and collocations (e.g., 'patiently instructed', 'essential life skill', 'gained autonomy'). Avoid direct repetition by paraphrasing. Boost vocabulary complexity to elevate the overall score.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

Grammar is mostly simple with some errors (e.g., 'when I was around 18 years of my age' should be 'when I was around 18 years old'; 'how the way he was calm' is awkward). There is an attempt at a complex structure ('which my father taught me'), but overall range is limited. To improve, practice using a variety of tenses and complex sentences (e.g., conditionals, relative clauses) accurately. Focus on correcting common errors like article usage and prepositional phrases.
