Band 7+: are there times when you study better by yourself

Your pronunciation is quite good. Working on consistency and tackling difficult sounds may enhance clarity.

The response directly addresses the question by affirming a preference for studying alone and provides clear reasons, such as distraction from talking in teams and increased productivity. It is natural and well-elaborated. To achieve a higher score, consider adding specific examples or a more nuanced discussion of situations where studying alone is particularly beneficial.

The answer is well-organized and directly addresses the question, with clear ideas and appropriate linking words like 'because' and 'also'. However, there is some repetition ('work alone' appears twice) and the second sentence feels slightly redundant. To improve, consider varying your sentence structures and adding more specific examples or details to enhance coherence and fluency.

The vocabulary is adequate for the topic, with phrases like 'distracts' and 'productive'. However, it lacks flexibility and precision; for example, 'makes much longer' is awkward and 'daily works' is incorrect. Try to use more varied and precise vocabulary, such as 'hinders efficiency' or 'prolongs tasks', and avoid repetitive word choices.

The grammar is mostly accurate, but there are errors: 'makes much longer' should be 'makes it much longer', and 'daily works' should be 'daily work'. The range of structures is limited, with simple sentences and basic clauses. To reach a higher band, incorporate more complex structures (e.g., conditionals, relative clauses) and ensure consistent accuracy.
