I’d like to talk about Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, which is a place I’d really like to visit. Even though I’m already familiar with it to some extent, the main reason I want to visit Hanoi is that it seems to be a fascinating combination of traditional culture and modern city life. I’ve heard that the city has a very different atmosphere from other major cities in Vietnam. It is quite busy and crowded, but at the same time, it has many historical sites and neighborhoods where people can still experience traditional Vietnamese culture. I know Hanoi is famous for places such as Hankeum Lake and the old quarter and the temple of literature. The old quarter particularly interests me because it has narrow streets, old buildings and lots of small shops and restaurants. I’ve also heard that Hanoi has a strong food culture, with this city such as Fou and Bujie being especially popular. If I had the opportunity to visit Hanoi, I would spend a few days exploring the O’Quarter and working around Hattu Blake. I’d also like to visit some historical attractions and try a much local food at Ponsible. Another thing I would probably do is sit at your small cafe and simply observe daily life in the city. I think that would be a great way to experience the local atmosphere rather than just visiting to read attractions. Overall, I know it’s somewhere I’d love to visit because it seems to have a unique blend of history, culture and modern life. I think spending a few days there will be both enjoyable and educational and I probably come away with a better understanding of enemy’s culture.
