When I was a child, every summer, at least once a week, I would visit my grandparents' so-called dacha, which was located outside of my hometown. A dacha is a post-Soviet term for a small house, usually with a special area for cultivating vegetables or fruits. It highly depends on the earth conditions or climate conditions. I went there, like I said, as a child, usually with my mom. She could either stay with me and my grandparents or leave me there for, for example, a week or a couple of nights. I usually went there to help my grandparents, but to be honest, I think that I wasn't really a good helper. At least I kept them company and played around a lot. I had some friends there who were also children of my age, and we would play a lot since it is a very beautiful place with forests and nature. We would play in some kind of safe areas where adults could reach us, but at the same time in areas that looked like places from fairy tales, which was, to be honest, awesome. These memories are the brightest from that time, I think. I always felt good about going there. Unfortunately, my grandparents sold our dacha, but I will never forget how good I felt there, how amazing it was to just be carefree and surrounded by people who loved me and by people who would keep me company as well.
