The decision to go to Germany for my study abroad was a difficult decision, but it was really beneficial. My institution made it difficult. I was doing my master's and decided to study one semester in Germany. They allowed me to go there, and then suddenly, three days before my departure, they told me that I could not go to Germany because I needed to take my thesis course in Turkey. I told them I had done everything; I had my visa and paid my rent and residence fees. They said if I went there, I would not be able to finish my master's thesis. But I said that was okay; I wanted to experience this study, and I went to Germany. The potential negative consequence was that my studentship ended. However, living abroad gave me very valuable experiences. I made many friends from other countries, for example, from Portugal, England, the US, and Mexico.
