One of the most difficult decisions I faced was choosing my field of study after completing high school. The choice was not just about selected subjects, it would shape my future career and determine my professional life. As a teenager, the weight of this decision felt overwhelming considering the variety of options available and the exceptions from my family, especially my parents, who had their own hopes for my future. The challenge lay is balancing my personal interests with what I believe would offer better career opportunities. I wanted to pursue something I was passionate about. I had conversations with my parents helped me see the importance of a strategic approach to my decision. They encouraged me to evaluate my strengths, weakness and the skills I would need to thrive in their workforce. Ultimately, I made my decision by taking a systematic approach. Weeding the pros and cons of each potential subject, I researched various career paths, taught advice from teachers and reflected on my personal interests. It was cool for me to consider how my choices would affect my long term future after careful. In the end, the decision felt liberating, though it was still tamed with anxiety. I understood the significance of my choice, but I also felt a sense of empowerment in my intake in control of my future. Looking back, I believe that this experience taught me valuable lessons about decision making.
