People often have about a week off from work or school. It’s the longest holiday of the year in Vietnam. During that, people cleaned up, decorated their houses by new clothes and prepared traditional food like chung cake and spring rolls or New Year’s Eve. Families gathered together to watch fireworks and wished each other good luck for the coming year. Children often receive lucky money in rare envelopes. From a doof, a dove, a wig is one of the most exciting parts for them. I personally love this because it’s a time for family reunion. Everyone seems happier and more relaxed and the streets are full of color and festive decorations. Also, we don’t have to worry about school work during that week. Week is great. The only thing I dislike is that everything is closed. So it’s hard to hang out with friends overall. That is a meaningful holiday that brings people close and gives other friends star for the new year.
