A memorable journey. Although I’ve taken undertook many trips over the years especially with my family to places like Bulgaria, Slovakia, Italy, Germany and all these hold a special place in my heart, I would be talking about the one that I undertook recently with my friends. I went for a model UN to New York which is called the National High School MUN. We traveled there through airplane of course because I live in the Middle East so it was a 16 hour direct flight from Doha Qatar to New York. It was really fun though, even though people assume that longer flights are really hard to sustain, we had Wi-Fi and I had my friends around me so we had a lot of fun talking and playing and and discussing about what we’re going to do there. The journey was memorable because it taught me a lot of things. As a person who always wanted to settle in US, this trip, living alone in the US with no parents or any other help, and just based off me and my friends, opened my eyes to the hardships of living in the US, like the taxes and et cetera. We had a lot of things to do during the journey. We had the MUN conference for over three days. We also met diplomats from the Bulgarian delegation. We also saw a speech of President Joe Biden, who spoke live to us, and it was a memorable experience. Overall, the journey was memorable because I spent the entire trip with my friends, and MUN is something I hold dear to my heart. So it felt really nice for the first time traveling to do something that I personally like a lot. And there are a lot of important issues, for example terrorism in Africa discussed. So it felt like we were part of something bigger. And of course, eating American food, seeing Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Madame Tissauds and all the other sightseeing I did, and enjoying with my friends like late night movies, late night talks, sneaking out, we were playing cards, you were roaming around here and there. So in overall, all these experiences made it a memorable journey for me.
