I’ve always wanted to visit this particular palace complex when I am at the age that I can understand the complexity as well as the grandeur of this palace. What immediately struck me was the juxtaposition of Morden de Patten with this remarkably well-preserved palace complex which dates back to the Mulla period. It felt almost as though I was stepping into a different era despite being right in the middle of a bustling city. We explore the complex and I was honestly amazed by the sheer amount of history it contained. As we venture further inside, I discovered intricate sculptures, historical artifacts, and exhibits explaining the religious and cultural significance of various objects. One particular exhibit that caught my attention was the World Throne. I found it fascinating to learn about the religious symbolism associated with the monarchy, particularly the connection between the Mullikings of Patan and the Hindu Lord Vishnu. I generally liked how the palace complex was and how the exhibits were and how the artifacts were portrayed, but a particular thing that I disliked was how the palace was catered towards foreigners, majority of the explanations and majority of the details about the objects and the artifacts was in English and it was not simple English. where a lot of words that even I struggled to understand. And it just made me realize that this palace complex was geared towards foreigners rather than local people. And children and students, Napaadi students, that may struggle with English will not be able to understand the rich history that this palace complex offers because of this seclusion.
