About a year ago, I worked at a well-known fast food restaurant. I was initially excited, wearing the bright red uniform, but it felt a bit uncomfortable, dampening my enthusiasm. Stepping into the restaurant, I was overwhelmed by the bustling atmosphere and the noise during the rush hour. Employees were scrambling to handle customer orders amidst the chaos. It was my first day, and I tried my best to adapt quickly to the pressure from management and the urgency of demanding customers. I cleaned tables, took orders, and even helped out in the kitchen. After that day, I reached out to the head company and the management, apologizing for my mistakes and accepting responsibility. It was then that I realized there were no breaks, and I had to work the entire shift. I felt the pressure of handling multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure, which I believe can have unpredictable and predictable psychological consequences. Therefore, I think our country needs a new law to protect employees from overwork. This law should ensure that employees have adequate breaks and a reasonable workload to prevent burnout and maintain their well-being.
