Uh, I want to talk about a party in Paris I participated in last year. Last year, after my year long stay in UK I decided to visit my friend in Paris. I met her in UK in Leicester. We stayed at the same house but she came back to her house no uh semester earlier than me. Therefore at the end of semester before coming back to home I determined to visit her and she offered me to stay at her house for two days for free. Therefore I took train to go to her there. She told me she is going to throw a party for her classmates reunion. At that time they havent seen each other for a semester as all of them um, studied abroad therefore my friend throw a big party for her classmates so that they can reunite and share what has happened during one semester. Then I arrived at my friend’house there were uh, already a bunch of people hanging out there. First, I felt very awkward that I never attended house party before. Additionally, I was with my big luggage which made me feel very uncomfortable and feel like I don’t belong here. However, all of them are very friendly and they are eager to talk to me in English. We did small talk a lot and I try to remember the name of all of her friends. Also. The interesting thing was we shared our cultural background as most of them were born in France. This experience has improved my communication skills significantly as I realized that I can talk to foreignners comfortably. This has become very meaningful memory for me as it expanded my outlook.
