The piece of art I am going to talk about is the Mona Lisa. I came across this painting when I was just a teenager. So maybe it was back in 2010. One day I was in class and our art teacher brought a picture with him, the picture of Mona Lisa. So he was just introducing us with different types of art, different type of artists and this certain painting caught my eye because it was so simple yet so elegant at the same time. I immediately felt drawn to the picture and when I asked my teacher about this painting I was really mesmerized with the background of the picture and the history behind it. So it was about the artist drawing it and he basically drew it. With a type of smile that can be depicted as different emotions such as if you are feeling happy and you look at the picture you will feel like Mona Lisa is also smiling at you with happiness. If you are feeling sad and you look at the painting you will feel like Mona Lisa is also feeling sad. So the fact that the painting actually reflects different kinds of emotions was really astounding to me and it basically caught my attention which is why this is the painting that I chose to talk about and it will always be something special to my heart.
