The best advice that someone gave me about my career is to apply to the Polytechnic because I come from Sicily. The University of Catania is good, but not good enough. At the Polytechnic, I have so many more opportunities, not only for a job in the future but also during my studies. There are a lot of student teams, and I was in one until a few weeks ago. Now I'm in another team just because I wanted to change. Who gave me this advice? It was my cousin. Now he's doing his PhD in France. He left me, but I think his advice was one of the best. I also have to mention that the advice to apply to the team came from my colleagues, and they taught me a lot. I learned how to apply what I studied during my exams and lessons. It's really helpful, not only because I learn from what I do, but it also improves myself. It makes me feel more aware of what I can do, which boosts my self-confidence. Sometimes you don't pass an exam, but when you know that you can do things that maybe most other people can't do, it's not just because it's not written in a book. It's something you have to think about, read documentation, and understand how to apply it. This makes me feel much more versatile and capable of doing things.
