I was born and raised in Calicut which is situated in Kerala. Calicut is located in the southwestern coast of Indian subcontinent and it is a famous tourist attraction. However, there is one aspect of my town that most people overlook. There is this pier that was made by stacks of rocks which extends long into the ocean. Most people would avoid it thinking that it was a harbor but they have no idea what they are missing. Without a doubt, this pier is the most splendid location in Calicut especially at the end of the pier. When you are actually at the end of the pier, you could in fact see the entire city from there. This is something that you would never expect as you would not imagine how deep you are into the sea. I am an extremely introverted person so I tend to avoid social interactions as much as possible. This is my favourite spot. I would come here often just to stare into the ocean away from the crowd that almost overshadows the ocean itself. This area becomes more beautiful during sunsets or sunrises as the vibrant colours of the sky at the time adds to its grandeur making it one of the best possible sceneries in the world in my opinion.
