I would like to talk about Mumbai, a bustling metropolis located on the western coast of India along the Arabian Sea. It is often referred as the city of dreams and after visiting it I completely understood why it lives up to its reputation. Mumbai is the financial capital of India, teeming with opportunities and bringing with life. I visited Mumbai around 2 years ago during the winter season which was welcome change from the usually humid weather of the city is known for. I travelled there with my best friend who is as much as adventurer see Karezaayam. Together we set out to explore every nook and cranny of the city. The city itself is a perfect blend of modernity and tradition. On the other hand you have the glitzy skyscrapers of Nareeman Point and the vibrant nightlife of Bandra. On the other hand you have the charming historical landmarks like Gateway of India and Chhatrapati Sivaji Terminus walking along the marine drive at sunset was nothing short of magical. It felt as though time stands still and we were wrapped in a blanket of serenity despite the city’s ever present hustle and bustle. What truly stand out for me was the spirit of people. Mumbai’s cars as the local people are called are incredibly firm, resilient and harmful. It is often said that the city never sleeps and this couldn’t be more accurate. There is always something happening whether it is street performance, food festival or cultural event. Speaking of food, I was over the moon with the culinary scene from savouring lips packing vada pavs at the road stores to enjoying fine dining experiences. The city caters to every plate. I would highly recommend living in Mumbai especially for people who thrive in fast paced environment and value diversity. Yes, it is a bit of rat race but as the saying goes, no pain, no gain. The city offers unparalleled opportunities for career growth and personal development. Moreover, it is a consumptuality and nature makes it a melting pot of culture where you are bound to feel at home regardless of where you are from. In a nutshell, Mumbai has something for everyone. If you can embrace its chaos, you will find this city gives 10 backfold inexperience. Opportunities and memories that last a lifetime.
