A place I visited that I genuinely exceeded my expectations was Hu Chiming City, which I travelled to during a short holiday with my family. It was a few months ago and we decided to spend several days there to take a break from our use of routines and explore one of the most dynamic cities in Vietnam. For the trip, I had a rather mixed impression of the city. From what I had seen on social media, I expected it to be extremely crowded, noisy and somewhat overwhelming, especially because of the heavy traffic and fast-paced lifestyle. I also assumed that most attractions would be packed with tourists, making it difficult to enjoy the experience properly. To be honest, I thought it would be an interesting place to visit, but I wasn’t particularly excited about it. However, my impression chain considered be once I arrived. One of the places that impressed me most was Lane Mark 81, an iconic skyscraper that dominates the city skylight. Seeing it in person was much more impressive than looking at photographs online. The building was incredibly tall and modern, and the surrounding area was beautifully designed, with green spaces, walking paths and places to sit and relax. I particularly enjoy visiting in the late afternoon, when the sunlight reflected off the glass if terrier in the city gradually came alive with lights. I had expected nothing more than a busy police, but I discovered a city with a fascinating and a modern development, local culture and everyday life. Overall, the trip taught me not to judge a place solely by what I see online or hear from other people. Sometimes experiencing some way firsthand can completely change your perspective. And Ho Chi Minh City is definitely a place where you can learn more about the world.
