A few months ago, I went on a trip to North India, specifically Delhi, with ten friends. I had heard that Delhi was one of the most polluted cities, but I didn't realize just how bad it would be. As soon as I arrived, I felt the impact of the pollution. I'm very sensitive to dust and air pollution, and I couldn't breathe properly. My face turned red, and my friends were worried about me. They even suggested cutting our trip short. We rushed to our hotel rooms for some fresh air. The pollution wasn't just from vehicles; there was a temple festival happening, and people were throwing colored powders and setting off firecrackers. The smoke from the firecrackers was overwhelming, and we felt exhausted and suffocated. It was clear that the government needs to take serious action to address this issue. The pollution is out of control, and people, especially children, are suffering from health problems like asthma and other lung diseases. We all know that trees and greenery help purify the air, but Delhi is a city with limited green spaces. It can't purify itself. The government needs to take action to improve the situation. I definitely wouldn't visit Delhi again until the air quality improves.
