In the past few years, the government has taken initiatives to restore many places and public facilities, and one of the renovations they started was on Lothar's Fort. Lothar's Fort, located in Jailam, is one of the greatest tourist attractions in the area. It is also visited by locals, and school trips are organized there for children for historical purposes. The place is tuned to beauty because there is also a small village located in the fort area, and it's quite beautiful. You see the Mughal architecture in the buildings there. There are also many facilities in the fort, as you would expect, like a stepwell in the center, a prison for criminals, and a throne room, along with all the required facilities that one might have. The stepwell, which was destroyed and neglected for many years, has now been preserved. Renovation work started about two years ago under PM Shibashtri's reign and was done by the command of CM Mariam Nawaz. The stepwell is now completely restored. I think it is a great initiative by the government because historical places are our heritage, and we should try to preserve them for future generations so that they can enjoy that architecture as much as we have and always look back to their forefathers and be proud of them.
