Today is my mother's birthday, and it makes me reflect on the skill that I learned from her. I found it quite challenging to learn household chores. This is particularly significant for me because she was the one who taught me these essential things. When I started living on my own, I realized how challenging it was to manage everything from keeping the house organized to preparing proper meals. I wanted to learn these skills because I didn't want to depend on anyone. I thought it was important to be independent and responsible for myself, especially since my mother is not always around to help me with everything I need to do at home. However, at first, it felt really difficult. I used to burn food, forget to do laundry, and sometimes the house looked like a disaster. It was also hard to manage my time between work and household tasks. Eventually, I improved by watching tutorials online and setting a cleaning schedule, especially since I am now living alone here in Saudi Arabia. There is no one who can help me but myself. This experience taught me not just how to clean and cook but also how to be organized, disciplined, and self-reliant.
