Learning is a process that continues throughout our life. One skill that I learned from my childhood is cooking. My mother who is a talented cook always advised me to cook food in a proper manner. At first I was reluctant to cook so I was not interested in it. At the time of college I had to go to a hostel for a month. It was compulsory for me to learn such a skill as I need to cook my food, cook myself in the hostel. I started to learn it from my mother. She tried to involve me in the kitchen works at the beginning and taught about various dishes and recipes. I tried many times as an experiment and through various trial and error I finally learned how to cook well in a tasty manner. My father also appreciated me about the food that I prepared and especially I learned how to make a cake. Whenever there is a birthday in my college I bake cake for the birthday party. I think this is essential to learn cooking in our own life for being independent and also to get a taste of food.
