One skill that I have found particularly useful in my work is leadership. I developed this skill through my professional experience, as my current role involves coordinating people, managing administrative tasks, and making sure everything runs effectively. At first, I found it quite challenging to communicate effectively because I had previously worked as a staff member rather than a leader. However, over time I learned that everyone has a different personality, working style, and set of strengths. I realized that being a good leader is not just about giving instructions, but also about understanding people and adapting my approach to their needs. For example, I work with staff members who have different professional backgrounds. Initially, I assigned tasks based on their previous work experience and gave them assignments to assess their abilities, and by evaluating their performance, I gradually learned which responsibilities suit each person best. This experience taught me the importance of understanding my team before making decisions. I believe leadership is particularly important because good governance starts with good leadership. When leaders manage their teams effectively, they can create a productive working environment and help their institution achieve its goals. Ultimately, I believe that effective leadership can contribute to better public service and good government.
