In my country so many festivals were celebrated. I would like to talk about Makarsan Granthi. It’s a festival celebrated in few states like Telugu, Andhra Pradesh, Thalangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It was a three-day festival. On the first day it was named as Pogi. On this day we used to fire logs of wood in front of the houses and make some campfire. On the next day we call it as Makarsan Granthi. On this day we prayed to God with some variety of foods. On the next day it was called as Kanuma. On this day people pray there of people of some kind of special attraction to animals under the agricultural tools. On this festival the Telugu people or the people who celebrate the festival comes from different places to their native place and celebrate with their family. On the festival we do flying of kites making rangoli in the front door of the houses and making some dances around the rangoli. On the next day we call it as Gopbamma which we made with the buffalo’s dung. This was made in a round shape. On the top of it we kept some flowers and also we decorate with some turmeric and kumkum. We used to make a lot of different varieties of foods on that day. So why I like it because all my family members came together and we celebrate the festival a lot.
