Many festivals were celebrated in my country but I would like to talk about a festival called Makar Sangranti. It was celebrated in few states namely Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It was a three days festival. The first day we called as Bogi. On this day we make some camp. We make some fire with logs of wood. And also we make rangoli in front of the front door of the houses. In between the rangoli we play something called Gobamma which is used to prepare with cows tongue in a round shape on the top of it. On the top of it we place some different flowers and decorate with turmeric and kunkum. And people dance around that rangoli by singing few native songs. On the second day we call as Makar Sangranti. On this day we pray God by making different kinds of prasadams and offer to the God. On the next day it was called the following day we called as Kanuma. On this day we pray to the animals and the agricultural tools. Why Sangranti is very liking festival? On this day the farmers use it to harvest crops and making different kinds of foods with the harvesting. The people who celebrate this festival come from different places to their native place and celebrate with their families. On this festival we use it to make different kinds of rangoli and eat it.
