Well, there was one time when I was travelling to a place called Chitlang. I was going there in order to meet with my friends with whom I studied in undergraduate course. Well, the way I travelled there was on a motorbike and it was a solo ride. They were coming to Chitlang from Kathmandu, whereas I was going there from my hometown Chitwan. So, I was completely alone during that ride. And when I was riding, I was supposed to take a specific turn which was on an off-road path, but I completely missed it and followed the well-paved road. I was very excited and I enjoyed the ride throughout this whole time. So I completely forgot to check the direction and I nearly went to Kathmandu. I was so nervous and confused because of that I felt very stupid and dumb. I couldn't even believe that I could make such a silly mistake. I thought how embarrassing would it be if someone found out I made such a silly mistake. However, I calmed myself down, I took a few deep breaths, I stopped for a while and I looked at the Google Maps and talked with the locals. So I made a quick adjustment. Instead of turning around and following the original route, I instead went around the place and I went around Kathmandu and finally reached Chitlang instead of going back all the way and backtracking which would have been quite time-consuming. So it taught me a very valuable lesson. It taught me how to be present in the current situation. It taught me how to interact with locals to know about a place. I learned how to be more careful. I became more aware about my directions, where I was going and so on. So overall it made me a better rider.
