It was a small act of kindness but it has a lasting impact on both of us. Since I had a strong academic background, so I offered help without having a second thought. I started tutoring him about an hour in the evenings. For the basic concepts, I explained them in a very simple yet engaging way. I used games as a real-life example so that he didn’t get bored from the difficulty of the subject. Soon after some time, he started improving and his confidence grew. I understand that child-lead encouragement and support for the full potential was the only reason that I helped him because everyone felt frustrated when they failed in a subject and good in others. I had the knowledge and the time so I felt it right that I should definitely help him out. Seeing joy on his face when he solved problems quickly realized me that small efforts can make big difference. This experience reinforced me to believe in power of education and how someone can help in a small way yet giving positive results.
