I remember when I was a freshman in university, I was once late for a very important meeting. The student union required all members to attend, and we had to take a box to another city at the school gate by 7:00 AM the next day. However, I had drunk coffee the night before, which kept me awake all night until about 4 or 5 in the morning. I finally fell asleep, unfortunately missing my 7:30 AM alarm. When I woke up, all my colleagues were already gathered at the school gates. Some classmates called me, and even a few people ran to my dormitory, knocking on my door. After about 15 minutes, at around 6:50 AM, I finally got up. I was panicked and quickly dressed, grabbed my computer, and ran to the school gate. Thankfully, I managed to catch the bus just in time. However, I was still in a terrible and confused state. This experience taught me a lot. First, I realized the importance of having multiple alarms, like setting several alarm clocks or wearing a watch that vibrates to wake me up. Second, I learned to avoid consuming anything that could negatively impact my sleep, like coffee. These are things I can control to prevent being late in the future. After that incident, I've never been late for anything important again.
