When I was young, about 5 or 6 years old, I made a promise to my father that I would never consume alcohol. You see, my father was an alcoholic. He has completely recovered, but there were many experiences in my childhood that I wouldn’t like to recall. In that context, he wanted to ensure that I would never go through something like that, so he made me promise that I would never touch liquor or cigarettes. And until this day, I have adhered to that promise. Most importantly, that promise is a part of my daily routine, a part of my discipline, my moral code. I believe by instilling these values in me, even during my childhood, he helped me to become someone that can be respected. And I believe that the lessons he taught me would aid me in the future in many ways. And I hope I could return these favors back to him. I could take care of him in ways that he deserves to be taken care of. And I hope fate will allow it.
