The issue was that my best friend wanted to dye her hair blonde. I know it sounds normal and it doesn't seem like an issue, but she is a brunette, so dyeing her hair blonde would actually look ridiculous on her because it doesn't really suit her. This wasn't her first time trying it; last year she also dyed her hair blonde, and it was awful. I'm genuinely honest, and her hair was looking so damaged that I needed to warn her not to do it again. I told her it wasn't a strategy, but I convinced her to do something better because she was already focused on dyeing her hair and had decided to go blonde. I suggested another color, like strawberry blonde, which is similar to brown, and she was convinced to do that. It actually worked, and she decided to go with the color I chose for her. I felt really relieved to save my friend from this trouble, and I was glad she wouldn't feel any guilt anymore.
