Today I would like to share my experience of a time I taught something new. I helped my cousin study English. My cousin Lin was a secondary school student, and she was very good at mathematics and literature. However, English was not her strength, and she found listening and speaking hard. In the end of her final years in secondary school, she wanted to achieve a high grade in English so she could pass the examination without any difficulties. Although she asked me for help, I initially refused because I was too busy, but after the persuasion of her parents, I decided to help her. I taught her some basic pronunciation of words and letters, such as A for apple and B for banana. After that, I imparted some listening tricks to help her deal with fast audio in the exam. In the end, she got a nine in writing, speaking, and an eight in listening. I was very proud of her success, and she was also very thankful for my assistance. She said that in the future, if she could study something well, she would assist me. She would help me back in that subject.
