Currently I'm working in a lab where I do polyurethane graphene-based composites. Basically, I mix two components and then I need to do a lot of actions that require me to set a timer. Before, when I first started, I was doing it by just glancing at my watch. However, since I need to record a lot of timers, for example, I need to heat my samples for an hour, then I need to heat them again for two hours. Also, from both mixed components I mentioned, I need to put the mixture in the oven and heat it also for three hours. I always forgot when I need to do what. As a result, I decided to use my cell phone, and it was the best decision in my life. I just... Now I just set a timer in the app, and I know basically everything that's going on in the lab because of this. I know when to turn off the oven. I know when to turn off another vacuum oven or something like this. I think that in that case, my phone was one of the most important things. At first, I felt very awkward because I ruined a few experiments because of my forgetfulness. However, now I feel fully confident that I will do everything in time. And it's not hard to guess that time is very important in a lab, and the timing should be very precise.
