One tradition in Pakistan that I think may disappear in the future is the tradition of visiting relatives and elders on Eid. In Pakistan, Eid is not only a religious festival but also a time when families come together. On Eid morning, people usually wear new clothes, offer Eid prayers, and then visit their relatives, especially their grandparents, uncles, aunts, and other family members. We usually take sweets and food with us, spend some time together, and wish each other Eid Mubarak. When I was younger, I really enjoyed these family gatherings because I could meet many cousins and spend quality time with them. However, I think this tradition may become less common in the future because people are becoming busier and more dependent on technology. Many young people move to different countries for work and studies, or even to other countries for education and jobs, and for family trips. As a result, it becomes difficult for families to meet in person. But nowadays, people can simply send e-messages, make a video call, and post pictures on social media instead of actually visiting someone. I personally think it is very important to keep this tradition alive. Visiting relatives helps us maintain strong family relationships and teaches younger people to respect their elders. So in my opinion, technology is useful but it should not completely replace face-to-face family togetherness. So I hope this tradition continues in Pakistan because family connections are an important part of our culture and identity.
