However, he must keep his magical abilities a secret and you really grow to care for them and their relationships feel authentic and complex and the dynamic between Merlin and Arthur is particularly engaging and they start as reluctant allies and develop a deep and unbreakable bond of friendship despite their differences. And in a sense it’s a show I can watch repeatedly and still discover new layers and appreciate its storytelling.
