However we remained committed to our word and after months of planning and saving we finally made it happen. We traveled to Japan a country we had both longed to explore and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. The reason I made this promise was that I strongly believed in the value of shared experiences and keeping one’s word. Promises in my opinion are not just about words but about trust and commitment. Fulfilling this promise not only strengthened our friendship but also reinforced the idea that if something truly matters we will find a way to make it happen.
