Well, I enjoy visiting different kinds of exhibitions and wherever there is an exhibition in the city. Regardless of what it is, I certainly visit it. I recently visited a photographic exhibition at Bangladesh Shilpokala Academy SILED. It was organized by SILED Photography Association. It was to exhibit the photographers taken by various photographers across the country during the 1971 liberation war. The entry to the exhibition was free of charge and it was visited by people from all the spare of life. And it lasted for a week and I visited the exhibition on the first day with a couple of my friends. The exhibition was between the hour of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. and we visited it at 6 in the evening and we stayed there for about an hour and were some moved by the photographers. So although all the photographers were black and white, they were very moving. Each photographer told a very unique story. I was extremely shocked and I was seeing how the people were tortured and killed by the Pakistani army during the war. I particularly remember a series of photographers where a very young child was snatched from its mother and was killed in front of her eyes. I couldn’t believe such inhuman things can be done by any human being. I felt terribly sorry for the mother and her child. I always heard about the brutality of the Pakistani army during the liberation war but never imagined it could be such a physical and brutal.
