I would like to talk about my maternal grandmother whom I’ve known all my life. She’s in her late 70s now and lives in a small peaceful village in the countryside. Her home is modest but filled with warmth and character. There’s always the smell of freshly baked bread in the air and the walls are adorned with family photos and hand-wrapped tape-strees. What makes her happy is simple yet profound. She finds joy in tending her garden where she grows a variety of vegetables and flowers. Every morning she starts a day with a cup of herbal tea while watching the sunrise from her porch. She also enjoys reading, especially historical novels and she often shares stories from her youth with us keeping our family history alive. She believes she lives a happy life because she has cultivated a routine that brings a peace and satisfaction. Her days are filled with meaningful activities that connect to her nature. Her past and her loved ones, she maintains strong relationships with her family and neighbors and her positive outlook on life is truly inspiring. In conclusion, my grandmother exemplifies how embracing simplicity, nurturing relationships and maintaining a positive mindset can lead to a fulfilling and happy life in one’s later years. Thank you.
