One of the most memorable experience of my life was when I changed my school in my 5th standard. I had to change my school because my father got transferred from Haryana to Hyderabad due to his job. It was a big change for me because I nearly spent almost 6-7 years there and not only that the language barrier was quite difficult for me as well. This happened around from my 5th standard which I could state was 2000 level. I moved from Haryana to Hyderabad which was overwhelming at first. I vividly remember my first day at school very clearly. I was nervous, unsure about making new friends and worried about adjusting in the new study pattern and the environment. However, despite being my mother tongue is being tellable, I faced it quite difficultly at starting because I was quite habituated to the Hindi language. However, in the long run the change turned out to be helpful. The new school had better facilities, more extracurricular activities and experienced teachers who can teach us in 3 different languages. I got more exposure. I could say that I have met my teachers who had made a long lasting impact upon me. The consequences were mostly positive. At first I was very optimistic about it as I did not make any change. But over time I had made many friends. Although I missed my old friends initially but I eventually built up strong relationships with my school friends which lasted over time. I could say that we are still in touch now. The biggest lesson I learnt was how to step out of comfort zone and handle different situations more maturely.
