Although I listened to several traditional stories, I want to talk about one of my favorite traditional stories, which I found quite interesting. It is the Mahabharata. The Mahabharata is the biggest epic story in history. The story is about the fight between the Kauravas and the Pandavas when the Kauravas disrespected Draupadi. As a result, the Pandavas started a fight for justice. When I was six years old, I was accustomed to listening to stories before bedtime. As a result, my grandfather started telling stories before bedtime. For example, he told me several stories, such as Panchatantra, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Garuda Purana. Among them, the Mahabharata was my favorite traditional story. My grandparents told me different parts of the Mahabharata, which contains 18 parts. They told me one part on a daily basis, so I could understand all parts very carefully. They mentioned one interesting point: despite the Kauravas disrespecting Draupadi, it was their biggest mistake. Moreover, when I heard this story for the first time, I felt a lump in my throat because I felt the pain of Draupadi. The Kauravas committed several acts of disrespect, such as pulling her hair and her saree, which I find very disrespectful. I believe they should have respected her as their sister-in-law.
