The memory of a train journey that I undertook a couple of years ago from my hometown to Moscow is still fresh in my mind. It was a night, uh, trip that left an indelible impression on me, primarily due to the overwhelming noise, permitting the train carriage throughout the journey. From the moment I started, I wore the train. I was stuck up by the crowded conditions, and insistent chatter that fell at the ear. Passengers bossed about engaged in lively conversations and continues phone calls that your voice is blending into a consistent home as a train made intermittent, uh, stops at various, uh, stations along the road. Spurred my initial declension to immerse myself in a book. You know, the reckless Relentless noise made it nearly impossible to concentrate on the content by leaving me feeling increasingly frustrated and restless. And as time goes by, I hope that at night, I can be I can do something. And as night, uh, descended, I hope for some respite from the innocent noise, only to be met with new uh, disturbance in the, uh, form of periodic whispers and persistent sounds of snoring. From fellow passengers. The combination of these factors made, uh, for a restless night with all the crazy sounds that I mentioned in encourage By the time we arrive at in Damascus, the next morning, I felt actually exhausted and drained it. The journey having taken a toll on my physical and mental well-being reflecting on the experience, I realized that that nurse is unavoidable saying in a crowd. However, This made me appreciate the importance of peace, and it’s, uh, since then, it’s a very golden thing for me.
