Last time I got up early was last week on Tuesday. I had a meeting with my particle physics mentor regarding my research. We scheduled it on 10 am, which is not exactly early, but she assigned me some tasks to do and I needed some time to complete them. I decided to wake up at 4 a.m. so I would have six hours to make several types of plots. Making plots is one of the biggest parts of my research project in particle physics. The thing is I need to put different collision systems like gold-gold which is a very big large collision system, smaller ones, a deuteron gold and proton proton collisions and actually people did it before me and the thing I’m bringing in science is by comparing this plus and trying to fill the gap that they form by plotting another medium-sized systems copper-copper. So I had my gold gold and smaller collision systems already plotted but I needed to find copper-copper data, run it through my previously written codes in order to extract data where I needed and then writes a code that will process with other collision systems. I felt very overwhelmed because it is actually very hard to do and takes a lot of time to find everything and code it. I made a lot of mistakes that I needed to fix as soon as possible. And since I didn’t really sleep well beforehand, I felt very exhausted and thought that I wouldn’t do this again, ever. Thank you.

When I got up early, I usually wake up at 6am during the school. I woke up, then I washed my face, had a shower, then I had my breakfast and packed my school Then I went to bus stop and met my friend. Then we went to school by bus together. I got up […]

So, at the time when I got out early I wanted to share with you is two months ago I joined an ASI group project for my university application. So this project was organized by Oxford Professors and the topic was about inequality. So if we want to get higher performance and good results, we […]

So one case when I woke up very extremely early was the case when I went to a trip with my friends and his dad. They are invited me because they have no enough people to go with them. It’s like they say like they had to go with at least three people. because the […]

I’d like to talk about an occasion when I got up extremely early and that was when I had an entrance exam for university about three years ago. The exam actually took place in my own city but I still decided to wake up very early because I was afraid of getting stuck in traffic […]

Describe a place you've travelled to that you would recommend to others
I would totally recommend visiting Vliburg. It is a very old city located around an hour and a half away from St. Petersburg, my hometown. It used to be a Sweden city, then Finland as far as I remember, and a bit later, around the 20th century, Russia took it from both countries. So now […]
Describe a quiet place you like to go
I’d like to talk about a basketball court near my home. It might sound a bit unusual because basketball courts are usually associated with sports and noise but it’s actually quite peaceful most of the time. Describe something you can't live without (not a phone). You should say: what it is, what you do with it, how it helps you in your life, and explain why you can't live without it.
One thing other on phone I can’t leave without is my headphones. I use them to listen to music, which is I think very common use. And also I frequently use them to study in public places while watching YouTube videos, lectures on edX, or maybe various podcasts. It helps me a lot because in […]
Describe a movie that you have watched recently
I’d like to talk about Troy, which is one of the best historical movies I’ve watched it in recent years. I watched it at home on my laptop a few months ago. I actually watched it by myself because I enjoy watching historical films alone, without any distraction. That way I can really immerse myself […]
Describe an important important decision you made?
One of the most significant decisions I have made was to come into learning English seriously a few years ago. At the time my English skills were quite basic, I could only understand a few words and simple sentences. However, I realised that if I wanted to advance my career and communicate with other people […]
