But during our waiting we felt a sense of impending doom and disturbance as if we were going to lose her at any moment. It was not helped either by the fact that her conditions only get worse as time moves on. As in the first month, everything was fine. She could eat, she could drink, she could talk and she could use the bathroom without any assistance. On the second month, her lower body failed to function. her legs went numb and black spots started to appear on her legs as well as on her arms. And on the last month she could barely do anything. She could not even talk, she could not see, she could not even move except the little twitch that she can barely control on her fingers. And on the last week she could not do anything at all. On the last week of her life, my grandmother was not conscious. And on the last day, she was dead. She died of a painful heart attack alone without her sons, her daughters and her grandchildren by her side. It was a painful death.
