Undeniably, there are plenty of things that the internet is capable of teaching us. These days, YouTube videos are the biggest source of information, entertainment, and education. I have learned a lot of things from YouTube so far, like how to solve difficult mathematical questions, how to prepare for the IELTS exam by myself, and so on. It has helped me numerous times, like a perfect friend in incredibly difficult situations. Today, I would like to tell you about a video I watched about two years ago. The video was about making a vegetable called okra, also known as ladyfingers. I remember vividly that I was at home during my summer holidays. My maternal grandmother's health was bad, which forced my mother to suddenly go to my aunt's house and stay there for three days. Generally, girls in India have to cook for their families in the absence of their mothers. So, this is what happened in my case too. My father brought okra from the farm, and I didn't really know how to make it. But I had no option but to complete my task before dinner. So, I simply took my mobile phone and searched how to cook okra. Then, I found lots of videos related to my topic. I found a video with 15 minutes of screen time to be a good fit for me. I watched the entire video without missing any part. The woman with a channel name 'Master Chef' explained each step thoroughly. Moreover, the significant part of digital media is that the tutor has no right to scold their viewers. Unlike my mother, who used to shout at me saying, 'You don't even know how to cook.' Since this was the first time I was going to cook something, I had to watch the video many times. After an hour of continuous dedication in the kitchen, I made a vegetable that was even tastier than my mother's. After that, we all finished our food. My father praised me a lot. Apart from this, he also gave me 200 rupees. Furthermore, he wants me to learn a lot more from the internet. But being a foodie, I like eating, not cooking. At last, when my mother praised me, I was on cloud nine.
